2/20/2023 0 Comments Dps mage mage drops![]() Still over 4k dps, which is acceptable according to that thread a few days ago, so we're good. No more Thunder 3, but Foul does big numbers so we'll keep it for now. ![]() Keeping a DoT up is a lot of work, and it might even cause a proc that messes up my rotation. Honestly, this is more dps than I expect from the average random in roulettes, so we're off to a good start.īlizzard 3, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard. Optimal rotation for aspiring BLM players with pyrophobia and/or a crippling fear of seeing their mana bar go down. Keep Thunder 3 up, cast Thundercloud and Foul when available. ![]() Enochian unlocks Blizzard 4, so we'll use it in all of the rotations for the sake of consistency.īlizzard 3, Thunder 3, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard 4, Blizzard. As we all know, Ley Lines will only get you killed, Triplecast is for movement and not increasing dps, and Sharpcast is best used with Scathe, which is not an ice spell. My current gear is the crafted i380 set, with around half of the possible overmelds. I tried five different rotations, some of which deserve the term more than others. Shield Tree isn't doing too hot either it's useful but at the moment its better to spend the skill points on damage usually. After a particularly "you don't pay my sub" expert roulette during which I thought "I could actually be an ice mage and still out-dps all of you," I decided to do some testing to see if this is true. Same can be said about Battle Tree almost as well though. Although the last one will only be used situationally(Is there a 2H in the party? Okay use it, is there no 2H in the party? Okay don't use it).Īnyways it will be interesting to see if they revamp the Dagger skill tree, as there is not much reason to get it currently. Also maybe a skill that generates more Aggro(basically a Dagger version of Rage Slash). Skills that increase the Dodge/Flee stat, skills that actually do buff up auto attacks more significantly while increasing MP Regen by attack, and skills that do defensive status effects(mainly Paralyze). Skills that hit multiple times are necessarily good but I will concede that Gatling and Spike are the better skills of the Dagger tree. Knuckles don't have any extra Evasion over anyone else(Evasion≠Dodge/Flee) either. ![]() Daggers have a skill that adds a chance to counter twice after an evade instead of once if using a Dagger. Last time I tried Hidden Arm it did awful damage not even worth mentioning and didn't scale with ATK at all. This could be vastly different at level 70 when we get the level 3 Weapon skill trees though. Pretty much any Mastery skill for a weapon is dead weight for skill points so I wouldn't put it pass them haha. Just stuff that's useful for status effects probably. It shouldn't be a main tree regardless of how you look at it though. I think Daggers will forever be a crap skill tree unless they completely revamp it. I foresee them adding another Magic type class and possibly another Melee DPS. Knuckles will likely stay behind other classes in DPS because of how Tanky they are. Mages will begin to drop off in how much damage they do at some point most likely as well. However once 2H Sword and Knucks get their Critical Rate up its gonna even back out again and then 2H will pull ahead again. I think what is going to happen is that Accuracy and Critical Hit Rate are gonna offset the balance a bit for a while considering what's happening now with stuff like Forestia and Gold Skeleton.īasically, Archers, DEX 1H Sword builds, and Mages are gonna pull ahead in DPS for a bit from now because they won't have to worry about missing stuff much.
